CNC machining center is a common equipment in mold processing, which has a high degree of automation and can be controlled by programming, so the structure is more complex. We should pay special attention in the use process, once damaged, it will bring losses to the enterprise.
1. When milling curved surface with ball end milling cutter, the cutting speed at the tool tip is very low. If the ball cutter is perpendicular to the machined surface to mill a relatively flat surface, the surface quality cut by the ball cutter tip is relatively poor. Therefore, the spindle speed should be appropriately increased, and the cutting with the tool tip should be avoided.
2. Avoid vertical cutting. There are two kinds of flat bottomed cylindrical milling cutter. One is that the end face has a center hole, and its end edge cannot reach the center.
The other is that the end face has no center hole, and the end edges are connected and over the center. When milling curved surface, the end milling cutter with tip hole must not feed vertically downward like a drill bit, unless there are process holes drilled in advance. Otherwise, it will break the milling cutter. If the end cutter without tip hole is used, it can feed vertically downward, but because the blade angle is too small and the axial force is large, it should be avoided as far as possible.
3. In milling curved surface parts, if it is found that the material heat treatment is not good, there are cracks, uneven structure and other phenomena, the processing should be stopped in time, so as to avoid wasting man hour.
4. It usually takes a long time for CNC machining center to mill the complex surface of mold cavity. Therefore, the machine tool, fixture and cutter should be properly inspected before each start-up milling, so as to avoid failure in the process, affect the machining accuracy and even cause waste products.
5. When the CNC machining center is milling the mold cavity, the filing allowance should be properly controlled according to the roughness of the machined surface. For the parts with difficult milling, if the machined surface roughness is poor, more filing allowance should be reserved; for the parts which are easy to be machined, such as plane, right angle groove, etc., the surface roughness value should be reduced as much as possible, so as to reduce the filing workload, so as to avoid affecting the precision of cavity surface due to large area filing.
In order to ensure the quality and accuracy of products, CNC machining center should strictly follow the operation instructions in order to ensure the quality and accuracy of the products. The measures such as checking the equipment before use and dealing with the unqualified products in time can reduce the loss of the enterprise and prolong the service life of the equipment.
